Bicyclist hit by car on Mineral

On Jan. 20 at 8:58 a.m., Littleton Police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and bicyclist at the intersection of W.est Mineral Avene and South Mineral Court.

Officers have learned that 74-year-old Edward Ervin of Littleton was riding a bicycle eastbound on the sidewalk of Mineral Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was stopped facing southbound on Mineral Court, preparing to make a right turn.  The vehicle and bicyclist collided in the intersection.

Ervin sustained serious injuries. Littleton Fire Rescue transported him to Littleton Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing and no formal charges have been filed at this time.
